FIRST Robotics Competition

The FIRST Robotics Competition, or FRC, is a high school robotics competition that is designed to promote engineering and technology and to help students develop skills, not only in robotics, but also in professionalism, team-work and creativity. According to the FIRST website, this competition is unique because "It is a sport where the participants play with the pros and learn from them; designing and building a robot is a fascinating real-world professional experience; competing on stage brings participants as much excitement and adrenaline rush as conventional varsity tournaments; and the game rules are a surprise every year."
